QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

After working for over ten years as a musician, restaurateur, and teacher of the Alexander Technique I completed a BSc honours degree in Psychology at the University of London in 1996. I then worked for a period of time at a GP practice, and for Quit UK whilst studying for a post-graduate diploma in Counselling Psychology at City University.

In 1997 I emigrated to Australia where I worked for six months as a Bereavement Counsellor and for the following three years as a Counselling Psychologist and Group Therapist with Sydney Pain Management.

I went on to study for a Masters degree in Couple & Family Therapy at the University of New South Wales and for the past ten years I have been employed as a Couple & Family Therapist with Relationships Australia, as a Consultant Psychologist with International Psychological Services, and as a Student Counselling at the University of New South Wales.  My private practice was first established in 2007.

For the past fifteen years I have been committed to a regular meditation practice and have attended retreats in the UK, USA, India and Australia. I have also taught several short courses of Mindfulness Meditation to small groups in both London and Sydney.

I am a registered psychologist and licensed provider of Medicare services in NSW; a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS): a member of the Australisian Existential Society; and a service provider with the Central Sydney Access to Allied Psychological Services Project.
